Regina

My personal motivation is to explain complex topics in a simple and understandable way. In short: “It can also be simple.”

Since 2007, I have been working on the major topic of cybersecurity, including IT security and data protection. In other words, everything that belongs to information security. It just doesn’t sound as sexy as cybersecurity.

Since 2013, I’ve been committed to making these topics accessible and practical for companies—first as a freelancer, and since 2018 through Datenbeschützerin GmbH. Today, I no longer carry out this mission alone: I’m supported by a growing team of highly skilled cybersecurity and data protection consultants who help bring our expertise to medium-sized and large businesses.

Coffee with milk (and without sugar)

There are plenty of people who drink their coffee black. You can do that.
I prefer my cup of coffee with milk.

You can also use mobile robotics or automation in general in your company. But you can also put the icing on the cake and consider cybersecurity during implementation and operation. This means your automation doesn’t “just” run. You also minimize the risk of failure, for example due to successful attacks. It’s almost like drinking your coffee with a shot of milk. Then the whole thing is no longer so bitter.

With my many years of experience in the field of IT security and my team of experts, we are bringing a previously neglected perspective to technical digitalization in logistics and production. We combine Peter’s highly specialized knowledge in the field of driverless transport systems and mobile robotics (and much more) with another important trend topic, cybersecurity. With Digital Fascination, we offer you as a customer specialist knowledge from two disciplines that absolutely must be considered together. In practice, however, this has received little attention to date.

And the great thing about it: we also speak in a way that you can understand us (technically speaking – we won’t completely get rid of our Bavarian dialect) and work with you on a practical solution. As a rule, you won’t earn a single euro more if you spend money on security, but it’s still worth it in the end.

Analyzing your risks and selecting the appropriate measures with you is our expertise.

A brief review

From soldering iron to computer

How can you get enthusiastic about such dry topics as data protection and information security? It’s a question I get asked from time to time.

Peter and I met in the last millennium during our training as electronics technicians. While he initially immersed himself further in the world of electrical engineering, I took the second academic route and completed my degree in business informatics. At that time, I still had a diploma. For the sake of completeness, I later completed a Master’s degree.

After my studies, I was able to gain a lot of practical IT experience as a Linux, database and SAP admin. I still benefit from this today.

When the opportunity arose to get involved in information security at a very early stage, I jumped at the chance. I was able to introduce information security management in an international company with a project team and then continue to be responsible for the ISMS.

Time to change

A new stage in life brings with it different conditions and often unexpected opportunities.

It was not possible to combine family and career in my old job, so I took the plunge into self-employment and today I am more than grateful for this step. With the team of experts at Datenbeschützerin®, we have now established ourselves as a professional brand in German-speaking countries. We have already successfully accompanied many companies on their way to ISO 27001 or VDA ISA / TISAX® certification and have taken on more than 200 data protection or information security assignments.

Sharing this extensive knowledge with enthusiasm and in simple language in the name of digital fascination is a new and exciting step towards making the digital world a better place.

Passing on knowledge and experience

Explaining complex things simply and passing on knowledge is what drives me. That’s why I like to write detailed blog posts on specialist topics on my blog or in various trade journals. In 2022, I was able to contribute voluntarily to the DIN consortium for the development of DIN SPEC 27076 (IT security for small businesses).

In addition, active networks are part of a constant exchange with other entrepreneurs and like-minded people, such as the IHK committee, the Rotary Club or the Junior Chamber of Commerce (JCI).

💫💫

So, enough has been said. Now I’m looking forward to getting to know you and supporting you with your project.
