The design, development, construction, programming and commissioning of a machine require not only technical expertise, but also enthusiasm, creativity, teamwork and clear communication.

I am a real team player and enjoy anything that can be automated.

I particularly love the moment when a machine does exactly what it was designed and built for – and in the end the customer not only gets the solution he imagined, but the one he really needs!

The most important person in the company is the customer!

– Quote from an entrepreneur whom I greatly appreciate

My path into automation technology

Just like Peter, I laid the foundations of my career with a solid education – I am a trained energy electronics technician.

Initially, I wanted to deepen my practical skills and gained several years of professional experience as a plant operator and maintenance technician in an industrial company.

It quickly became clear to me that automation was my subject! So I swapped everyday working life for school and lecture halls and graduated as a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in electrical engineering with a focus on automation technology.

With ambition, perseverance, hard work – and a bit of luck – I found an employer who trusted me and gave me the chance to finally pursue my passion after the long theoretical phase.

Together with Peter, I realized numerous challenging and interesting automation projects in the early years – especially in the automotive environment. I was fully involved from planning and programming through to commissioning and final acceptance at the customer’s premises.

Expert in safety-related issues

I’ve been lucky enough to be able to explore new paths throughout my professional development.

As deputy technical manager, I was able to gain extensive experience in relation to the Machinery Directive on behalf of the internal mechanical engineering department. For several years, I was responsible for risk assessments and the CE process.

During this time, a fundamental change took place: classic, hard-wired security technology was increasingly replaced by modern, decentralized and intelligent security solutions – a complex upheaval that demanded a lot from us.

Despite all the challenges, we seized this opportunity, tested new technologies – some of which were still in the prototype phase – and put them into productive use. This enabled us to build up in-depth expert knowledge in the field of functional safety.

I am always open to new topics and approach challenges with enthusiasm. As life in companies goes, my path eventually led me away from technology – towards management responsibility and leading a team.

Back to the passion: automation and mobile robotics!

My passion for programming and my knowledge of functional safety ultimately led me back to automation – and thus once again to Peter and the exciting topic of “autonomous mobile robots”.

Together with a great team, we have immersed ourselves in the complex world of mobile robotics from the ground up. We have shown that an idea – with motivation, creativity, expertise and, last but not least, team spirit, courage and perseverance – can be turned into a product that offers the customer real added value.

Helping to shape a product like this from the very beginning, from the initial idea to the first tests, dealing with setbacks, celebrating small and large successes, building and delivering the first prototype, countless late nights of testing, feeling the customer’s enthusiasm and finally reaching series production together – all of this drives me.

The journey is the reward…

And so today I am lucky enough to be able to pursue my passion again as Peter’s employee.

I look forward to accompanying our customers on their journey from vision to successful product – with curiosity, expertise and genuine enthusiasm for technology – because that’s exactly what makes our digital fascination so special!
